Experience the core functions of WMS up close and see for yourself how easy and efficient our mobile warehouse solution is. You’ll find the demo warehouse on October 2 from 9 am to 6 pm in the back of the exhibition hall, right in front of the Main Stage entrances.
Picking and packing
in practice
At JTL Connect, you’ll have the opportunity to try WMS for yourself. We’re once again setting up a complete demo warehouse, filled with merchandise items that you can pick using a mobile picking list, pack, and then ship free of charge to your home with DHL.
Not only will you collect some goodies along the way, but you’ll also get an authentic impression of how WMS works in practice. And, of course, it’s fun too.
If you lose track at any point, our WMS team will be happy to help. In addition to sharing tips on warehouse management, our experts will show you how to make the most of WMS in your own shipping warehouse.
It will be colorful. And it will light up.
How to order from the demo shop
You place your order in the demo shop.
Either ahead of time from home, which makes things faster on show day. Or right on site: in the line, the QR code to the shop is posted on the left and right of the booth, just scan it with your phone, and you can pick up to seven goodies. Quantities are limited, so the earlier you order, the bigger the selection.
Enter the address your package should be delivered to. Your order goes straight into JTL’s ERP.
You’ll get a QR code to show on your phone at the entrance to the demo warehouse. We scan it – and you’re in.
Come early. The earlier you arrive at the booth, the greater the selection and the shorter the wait. During peak times, the queue can be 20 to 30 minutes long.
By placing your order, you agree that we may share your address details with the partners of the demo warehouse so that they can deliver your package to you and provide you with information about their services.
How to test WMS live at JTL Connect
Place order
In the demo shop, choose your goodies and enter your delivery address, just like in any other online shop. Your order is sent to the ERP, and you’ll receive your QR code on your phone.
Entry
Join the queue on either the left or right side of the booth and show your QR code at the entrance. We’ll scan it and hand you a mobile device.
Pick list
In the WMS Mobile app, your order is added to a pick list. The warehouse management system has already calculated the optimal – meaning shortest – route and guides you through the warehouse step by step.
Scan barcode
Once you’ve reached the correct storage location, scan the item’s barcode and pick the product. The item is automatically removed from your pick list.
Check products
Once you’ve collected all the items, they are scanned again during packing. A monitor displays your complete pick list, so you can check that everything is there.
Pack
To finish, print the delivery note and then the shipping label. Your package is now ready for shipping.
Handover to DHL
Place your finished package at the DHL pallet area at the exit. Our logistics partner DHL will take care of shipping all test packages free of charge – so you don’t have to carry your goodies around with you for the rest of the event.
Delivery
A few days later, your DHL package will arrive. Along with your goodies, you’ll take away a practical impression of how WMS can make your warehouse processes more efficient.
WMS Lounge
Once your package is on the pallet, it’s on to the WMS Lounge. There, our service partners TSC AutoID, Waagenwelt and QUAD GmbH will be waiting with their own counters, along with the WMS team at the consulting tables.
This is the place for the questions there’s no time for on the warehouse floor. Get comfortable in the lounge, chat with the team, and get all the advice you need.
